Defense tech companies are swiftly ratcheting up their investment in, and reliance on, artificial intelligence (AI). The emergence of this powerful technology presents a huge range of business opportunities—but also legal and policy challenges.
Our popular webinar series on the legal challenges faced by emerging defense tech companies continues with a webinar on The AI Defense Tech Moment: Challenges and Opportunities.
WilmerHale Partners Arianna Evers and Joshua Geltzer, moderated by Partner Erik Swabb, will discuss key areas to watch for defense tech companies focused on AI, including:
- trends and trajectories in US Government AI policy, such as the future of the Framework for Artificial Intelligence Diffusion (or “AI Diffusion Rule”);
- considerations regarding reliance on AI in processes involving the potential use of kinetic force; and
- internal governance requirements for utilizing AI in relation to sensitive information and intelligence.
During the webinar, participants will have the opportunity to contribute questions online. This program is being planned with the intention to offer CLE credit for attendees who join the live presentation.
*CLE credit is not available for those who watch a recording of the webinar.
