The Evolving Landscape of Securities Enforcement by State Attorneys General

The Evolving Landscape of Securities Enforcement by State Attorneys General

Virtual
Webinar CLE

With the significant personnel and policy changes implemented by the Trump Administration across the federal government, there has been a notable shift in enforcement priorities. This shift may lead to an expansion of state enforcement activity, including in securities enforcement. Please join WilmerHale for a one-hour webinar on what to expect in the months ahead in the increasingly complex state AG and securities enforcement landscape.

This program will feature WilmerHale Partners and State Attorneys General Practice Co-Chairs Paul Connell and Swain Wood, and Securities Litigation and Enforcement Partner Benjamin Neaderland. The panelists will provide an overview of the evolving securities enforcement landscape, including:

  • why firms and issuers, including those dealing in crypto, should prepare for the expansion of state enforcement activity;
  • the wide reach of state “Blue Sky” laws;
  • states’ efforts to fill federal enforcement gaps; and
  • how the increase in state enforcement actions could cause a rise in tensions with the Trump Administration.

Participants will have the opportunity to contribute questions during the webinar. This program is being prepared with the intention to offer CLE credit for attendees who join the live presentation.

WilmerHale has been accredited by the New York State and California State Continuing Legal Education Boards as a provider of continuing legal education.
