The Institute of International Bankers (IIB) is hosting a special seminar in partnership with WilmerHale on tackling financial fraud. While next-generation AI presents many promises for consumers, investors and financial institutions, it also presents perils, such as the use of these powerful tools by fraudsters to advance their schemes. This seminar will feature leaders in fraud risk, compliance, AI, litigation, consumer protection and enforcement, including senior leaders from financial institutions and government agencies. It is designed for executives of international financial institutions seeking the latest information and insights regarding the risks and legal implications of these important trends in financial fraud.
Attendees will have the opportunity to delve into topics, including the criminal use of AI to perpetrate fraud; financial institutions' use of AI to detect and prevent fraud; and the regulatory response to rising fraud, both in the United States and abroad, with a particular emphasis on steps regulators are taking to protect consumers and investors.
The seminar will feature several speakers from WilmerHale, including:
- Michael Dawson, IIB Fraud Conference Chair
- Zachary Goldman, moderator, “AI as a Tool for Fraudsters: Understanding Emerging Threats” at 9:40 a.m.
- Yoon Hi Greene, moderator, and Benjamin Chapin, panelist, “Emerging International Trends in Fraud and the Regulatory Response” at 11:55 a.m.
