Partner Steven Finizio will serve as a panelist on a roundtable discussion entitled “War & Peace, and International Arbitration” at Bocconi University’s International Arbitration Conference on May 8 in Milan, Italy. The roundtable will anchor conference discussions by examining the practice, promise, and limitations of various forms of international adjudication, including claims tribunals, state-to-state arbitration and investor-state arbitration. Panelists will analyze the procedural innovations, jurisdictional frameworks and enforcement mechanisms that promote accountability or otherwise help resolve issues arising out of conflict settings.
Mr. Finizio will be joined by fellow panelists Catherine Amirfar from Debevoise & Plimpton; Laurence Boisson De Chazournes from the University of Geneva School of Law; and Mona Ali Khalil from Harvard Law School PILAC. The discussion will be moderated by Colin Brown from Legal Affairs DG Trade of the European Commission and Catherine Rogers from Bocconi University.
