Partner Steven Finizio will speak in an advanced damages workshop as part of Paris Arbitration Week 2023.
The panel will examine two models for calculating damages and compare and contrast lost profits calculations with diminution of business value from an expropriated business. The discussion will focus on the following, among others:
- Understanding theory harm from both legal and economic standpoints;
- Comparing and contrasting lost profit and lost business value;
- Determining how to reach full compensating and the impact of parameters such as the cost of capital, interests, valuation date and the ex-ante versus ex-post approaches.
