WilmerHale Associate Stephanie Forrest spoke at a symposium organized by the Young Canadian Arbitration Practitioners (YCAP), held in conjunction with ICC YAF and Arbitration Place in Ottawa. Ms. Forrest, together with counsel from the Government of Canada and practitioners from London and Toronto, sat on the panel “Transparency in Investment Arbitration.” Ms. Forrest focused on the role of amicus curiae participation in facilitating transparency in investor-state arbitration and considered the recently proposed amendments to the provisions governing amicus curiae participation in the ICSID Arbitration Rules and Additional Facility Rules.
