WilmerHale Associate Nicolás Costábile spoke in Portugal at the VII Coimbra International Arbitration Conference. He participated in a panel which discussed the “application of foreign law and cultural diversity in international arbitration.” Mr. Costábile focused on the substantive and procedural consequences of the different legal backgrounds counsel and arbitral tribunals may have relating to arbitration, specifically, the different approaches that common law and civil law lawyers tend to have towards oral testimony and document disclosure.
