WilmerHale Senior Counsel James Carter spoke and moderated a panel at the College of Commercial Arbitrators' annual meeting in Minneapolis. The title of the panel discussion was “Sports and Arbitration: Ultimate Umpires.” The panel considered the development of specialized arbitration procedures for the resolution of sports-related disputes and current practices of arbitrating such disputes. Speakers on the panel included the General Counsel of the US Anti-Doping Agency, the former Chief Legal Officer of the National Basketball Association, and a former Grievance Arbitrator for the National Football League and the Players Association.
