Although initial reports suggested that Latin America was avoiding the brunt of the COVID-19 pandemic, recent information and case data make clear the region faces serious health and economic challenges from the crisis. Governments throughout Latin America have implemented legal and regulatory measures to address and mitigate the spread of COVID-19, but the COVID-19 landscape in Latin America remains dynamic, and is evolving rapidly.
