On Monday, March 21, WilmerHale lawyers Martin Braun, Jonathan Cedarbaum, Mark Flanagan, Alan Schoenfeld and Reed Freeman gave a seminar on privacy and data security civil litigation issues in WilmerHale’s Palo Alto office. On the data security side, the team covered issues associated with standing, class certification, and claims and defenses in recent cases. On the privacy side, the team covered privacy concerns and litigation issues related to the Computer Fraud and Abuse Act, the Electronic Communications Privacy Act, the Wiretap Act and similar State Claims, the Telephone Consumer Protection Act, and the Video Privacy Protection Act. Martin Braun of our Frankfurt and Brussels offices also addressed privacy and data security litigation in Europe.
