Firm News

For the fourth consecutive year, the Washington Business Journal has recognized WilmerHale as a top Corporate Philanthropist, showcasing the firm as one of the most philanthropic companies in the Washington DC metro area. Companies are ranked by the total number of 2014 pro bono and volunteer hours, and donations by dollar amount. Out of the 25 firms recognized, WilmerHale ranked within the top three, contributing nearly 60,000 hours of pro bono work in the DC metro area just last year.

WilmerHale strongly believes that lawyers and staff have a responsibility to help strengthen communities through pro bono and volunteer work and the firm operates under a structured philanthropic model, allowing the firm to better concentrate resources and time to local communities. This includes financial support, pro bono legal representation, in-kind donations, matching gift programs, and volunteer service. In DC, the firm has longstanding community partnerships with Bread for the City and See Forever Foundation/Maya Angelou Schools.

WilmerHale was celebrated at the annual Corporate Philanthropy Awards on Thursday November 19, 2015 at The Four Seasons Hotel in DC.
