Sliney, Kaylan

Kaylan Sliney is an experienced corporate lawyer who focuses her practice on mergers and acquisitions and corporate reorganizations. She has represented early-stage high technology and software companies in all aspects of formation, debt and equity financing, and operations through exit, including employment and equity incentive matters, contract negotiation and licensing.

Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Sliney was a corporate associate at Brown Rudnick LLP.

Previously, Ms. Sliney was a senior legal and policy fellow with the Polaris Project, a US-based human rights organization working to end modern-day slavery and human trafficking in the United States and around the world. While there, she drafted commentary and edited text of the national Model Provisions of Comprehensive State Legislation to Combat Human Trafficking. She also assisted in providing state senate testimony, and lobbied policy movement regarding anti-human trafficking legislation for 13 states. The year prior, Ms. Sliney was a research associate at the Public International Law and Policy Group in Washington DC, where she advised the Sri Lankan government on human trafficking, devolution of political power, post-conflict economic development and disarmament processes.

Ms. Sliney is a member of the American Bar Association.
