  • 12.15.2025
The Financial Times has ranked WilmerHale among the top law firms in North America for its innovative use of technology in litigation as part of the “2025 Innovative Lawyers” report. The annual awards and report evaluates law firms across North America on their ability to deliver client-focused innovation and transform internal processes.

WilmerHale was named a “Standout” firm in the Digital Tools category, earning high marks for originality, leadership and impact. The Financial Times highlighted WilmerHale’s development of an in-house generative artificial intelligence system, Finch, designed to streamline complex litigation. The tool converts lengthy deposition testimonies into structured summaries and timelines, enabling lawyers to quickly identify connections across related documents.

“It takes you to the heart of the matter — you can focus your efforts on the strategy, how to craft the best legal argument, and how to write the most persuasive brief,” WilmerHale partner Jeffrey Dennhardt said in an interview with the Financial Times. “We are seeing much more rapid advancement than we might have predicted a couple of years ago.”
