The Washington Metropolitan Area Corporate Counsel Association hosted a half-day CLE seminar for in-house lawyers. This program began with the basics of financial accounting and valuation principles and then participants applied the basics using hands-on case studies involving business transactions including financing a business and making acquisitions. The seminar also included workshops with experienced legal practitioners and financial specialists focusing on how lawyers use financial inputs in developing the legal structure for deals, negotiating deal terms, advising their management and boards and resolving contract disputes.
