Near Field Communications (NFC) is aggressively being developed for enabling fast, secure, high-bandwidth wireless communication between networked devices in close proximity. NFC has the potential to satisfy the rapidly emerging, and broad-based requirements for connectivity between devices as new networking continues to reshape a broad range of consumer and business transactions and communications.
Near Field Communication technology can be used in Healthcare to augment patient safety, and quality of care, reduce costs and improve productivity of the care givers and mitigate the upcoming skilled nurses shortage crisis. Four different companies will discuss their vision of NFC at this event, presented by MIT.
