Fundamentals of Privacy Law 2025

Partner and Co-Chair of the firm’s Artificial Intelligence and Cybersecurity & Privacy Practices, Kirk Nahra, will present “Privacy Law: The Big Picture Overview” to kick-off Practising Law Institute’s Fundamentals of Privacy Law 2025 conference.
In this opening session, Mr. Nahra will provide a comprehensive look at US and international privacy laws and outline key regulatory paradigms. After completing this session, participants will be able to:
- Understand how the US and Europe approach privacy differently and what the similarities are
- Recognize key terms and definitions and how they vary across jurisdictions and sectors
- Identify state and national laws by name and, importantly, the ubiquitous abbreviations and help categorize those laws
