William Plata-Cortez is a corporate lawyer who represents public and private companies on a range of transactional and corporate matters, including venture capital financings, mergers and acquisitions and corporate governance. Mr. Plata-Cortez has experience representing clients in a variety of sectors, including digital applications, fintech, technology and life sciences/healthcare.

Mr. Plata-Cortez previously interned with a leading sports and entertainment talent management company in Los Angeles, where he drafted, reviewed, and revised contracts, buyout agreements, and endorsement agreements for elite sports and media talent. He also served as a judicial intern for the California Court of Appeal, 2nd District. While in law school, Mr. Plata-Cortez was on the UCLA Law Review and UCLA Chicanx-Latinx Law Review.
