Swapna Maruri

Swapna Maruri is a senior associate who focuses her practice on complex litigation and investigations across a number of areas, with a particular focus on anti-discrimination matters and serving clients primarily in the higher education, tech and financial institutions spaces. Ms. Maruri has significant experience litigating class action lawsuits in federal court, representing clients in complex government investigations, conducting internal reviews regarding discrimination matters, and confidentially advising clients regarding matters of anti-discrimination including but not limited to compliance with federal and state discrimination laws. Prior to rejoining the firm, Ms. Maruri served as a judicial law clerk for the Honorable Denise Casper of the US District Court for the District of Massachusetts. Before clerking, she was a litigation associate at WilmerHale from 2015 to 2016 and a summer associate in 2014.

During law school, Ms. Maruri worked as a law clerk for Bay Area Legal Aid and the Legal Aid Society in New York City. Prior to joining law school, she worked as a paralegal in the organized crime unit at the US Attorney's Office for the District of Massachusetts. There, she received the 2011 Excellence in Justice Award from former US Attorney Carmen Ortiz.
