Su Şimşek focuses on all aspects of European antitrust and competition law, as well as on EU regulatory matters.

Ms. Şimşek advises clients on the EU aspects of merger control review and has experience in global cartel proceedings and compliance programs. Most recently, she assisted in crafting Phase I remedies to obtain clearance for a major strategic merger in the biopharma sector. Ms. Şimşek has also been involved in obtaining merger clearance for numerous global transactions in Turkey and defending clients in antitrust investigations related to the banking, medical devices and cement sectors. Her practice covers a broad range of industries, including life sciences, aviation, energy, electronics and financial services. 

Before joining WilmerHale, Ms. Şimşek completed an internship program at the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development’s Competition Division in Paris and worked with the antitrust practice of another international law firm in Brussels. Prior to that, she was an associate focusing on competition law matters at a leading law firm based in Istanbul.
