Senior Associate
Stephanie Forrest is a senior associate in the Litigation/Controversy Department and a member of the International Arbitration Practice Group and the International Trade, Investment and Market Access Group.
Ms. Forrest has represented states, state entities, corporations and international organizations in international investment treaty and commercial arbitrations under ICSID, SIAC, LCIA, ICC, UNCITRAL and ad hoc rules. Ms. Forrest also advises clients on international economic regulation and trade policy, including WTO dispute settlement, NAFTA, and other regional and bilateral treaty-based rules.
Ms. Forrest has also acted in pro bono matters with the Media Legal Defence Initiative, notably involving challenges before the European Court of Human Rights and the African Court on Human and Peoples’ Rights.
Prior to joining WilmerHale, Ms. Forrest was a research associate to Dr. Lorand Bartels at the University of Cambridge and Professor Armand de Mestral at McGill University, in which capacity she provided support for various projects.
Professional Activities
Ms. Forrest is a member of a number of arbitration practitioner groups, including Young International Council for Commercial Arbitration (ICCA), Young Public International Law Group (YPILG) and Young Canadian Arbitration Practitioners (YCAP).
