Sophie N. Vigeland

Sophie Vigeland focuses her practice on complex litigation matters, criminal defense and internal investigations.
While in law school, Ms. Vigeland was a summer law clerk for the Honorable Rowan D. Wilson in the New York Court of Appeals and a member of Georgetown’s Journal of Law and Public Policy. Prior to law school, Ms. Vigeland worked as an Investigative Analyst in the Violent Criminal Enterprises Unit of the New York County District Attorney’s Office, where she supported investigations and prosecutions involving violent crime in Manhattan.
Ms. Vigeland graduated from Tulane University with degrees in history and political science. At Tulane, Ms. Vigeland received the Sidney P. Beyer Prize for Excellence in American History for research on the history of the Louisiana State Penitentiary (“Angola”), America’s largest maximum-security prison. She also interned with Trial Bureau 80 at the New York County District Attorney’s Office and Southeast Louisiana Legal Services.
