
Seferina Berch
Senior Associate
Seferina Berch focuses her practice on securities-related litigation, investigations and enforcement actions brought by the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA), and other state and federal financial regulators. She has represented clients in sophisticated data security incidents and regularly assists with the representation of financial institutions, investment advisors, public companies, and senior officers in connection with investigations brought by the SEC and FINRA, including oversight of complex e-discovery issues and management of actions involving multiple regulators.
Ms. Berch maintains an active pro bono practice and has represented individual clients in partnership with Human Rights First and HerJustice, as well as several non-profit organizations in successful nationwide impact litigation.
Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Berch was an associate in the Securities and Enforcement Regulatory Group of a global law firm. At her prior firm, Ms. Berch served as the Diversity Committee co-chair, the associate deputy New York co-chair of the Diversity and Inclusion Committee, and as a member of the New York Associates Relations Committee.
During law school, Ms. Berch served as a legal intern to the Honorable Evan J. Wallach of the US Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit. She also participated in the Penn Law Mediation Clinic and Civil Practice Clinic.
While pursuing her undergraduate education, Ms. Berch worked for ArtShould, a nonprofit at The University of Chicago aiming to increase access to the arts in Chicago Public Schools. In addition to teaching through the organization and leading a team of 40 college students, Ms. Berch served on the Board of Directors and oversaw curriculum development.
