Ryan Nguyen is a technology specialist whose practice focuses on the preparation and prosecution of domestic, international and foreign patent applications. Dr. Nguyen works with a variety of life sciences clients, including those in the biotechnology, pharmaceutical and healthcare sectors.

Before joining WilmerHale, Dr. Nguyen served as a senior research development engineer at a laboratory in California. While earning his PhD in biomedical engineering at Yale University, Dr. Nguyen developed and patented 3D hydrogel systems to study the role of the extracellular matrix in disease and development. As an undergraduate at UC Berkeley, Dr. Nguyen developed computational tools and models to study genetic circuits involved in microbial metabolite production.
