Ryan Nguyen is a technology specialist whose practice focuses on the preparation and prosecution of domestic, international and foreign patent applications. Dr. Nguyen works with a variety of life sciences clients, including those in the biotechnology, pharmaceutical and healthcare sectors. His practice covers a range of technical areas, including bioinformatic analysis, diagnostic methods, antibodies and next-generation sequencing technologies.

Dr. Nguyen earned his PhD in biomedical engineering at Yale University, where he developed and patented 3D hydrogel systems to study the role of the extracellular matrix in disease and development. Prior to this, Dr. Nguyen earned a degree in computational genomics at UC Berkeley, where he developed computational tools for metagenomic sequencing analysis and created models to study complex genetic circuits.
