Richard (Richie) Bernache specializes in complex securities enforcement matters and investigations. He has experience in civil and criminal proceedings and investigations brought by the Department of Justice (DOJ), Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), Public Company Accounting Oversight Board (PCAOB) and Commodities Futures Trading Commission (CFTC). Richie has represented clients representing a variety of industries including public company accounting, financial services, healthcare and technology. Richie also maintains an active pro bono practice focused on LGBTQ+ advocacy.

Prior to joining WilmerHale, he served as a law clerk for the Honorable Stephen Tiscione of the United States District Court for the Eastern District of New York and was previously an associate at another global law firm.
