Phillip Takhar

Senior Associate

Phillip Takhar focuses on complex litigation, particularly involving patent, trademark and copyright law. He joined WilmerHale as a summer associate in 2018. 

Mr. Takhar brings international experience to the firm. He served as a visiting legal researcher at the Nexa Center for Internet & Society in Torino, Italy, where he focused on legal issues related to privacy, data security and the Internet of Things. He has also worked as a solicitor’s assistant in England and taught English in both South Korea and Vietnam. 

Mr. Takhar also served as a legislative assistant in the California State Assembly, where he conducted research and wrote policy briefs on energy use, sporting complex development and asset forfeiture. 

While a student at Harvard Law School, Mr. Takhar participated in the Cyberlaw Clinic. He published a feature article titled “Georgia’s Long Path to Europe Leads to New Human Rights Laws” for the Harvard International Law Journal and two Digest Notes for the Harvard Journal of Law and Technology.
