Paul Friedman focuses his practice on intellectual property matters, including patent litigation, post grant proceedings and patent prosecution. Mr. Friedman has handled matters across a broad range of technology fields including data storage, energy, robotics, artificial intelligence and consumer products. He joined WilmerHale as a summer associate in 2022.

Prior to law school, Mr. Friedman was a systems engineer at The Charles Stark Draper Laboratory where he designed and analyzed system architectures for ballistic missiles, hypersonic vehicles and space systems during early development. As an engineering student, Mr. Friedman led a team of student engineers to design, build and race a formula-style race car.

While in law school, Mr. Friedman represented a non-profit organization by researching the intersections between state regulations and the interoperability of distributed energy resources as part of the Cyberlaw Clinic at Harvard’s Berkman Klein Center for Internet & Society.
