Michael Carpenter focuses his practice on complex litigation. 

Mr. Carpenter previously worked at the firm as a summer associate, where he supported matters related to patent infringement, securities regulation, healthcare fraud, cybersecurity, antitrust litigation and cartel law. While attending law school, he served as a judicial intern to the Honorable Kathleen M. O'Malley of the US Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit.

Prior to pursuing a law degree, Mr. Carpenter was a litigation paralegal at a law firm in Philadelphia, where he assisted with matters involving unfair business competition, copyright licensing, products liability, contract disputes, patent infringement and bankruptcy.

Professional Activities

Mr. Carpenter is a trustee of the W.P. Carey Foundation and a member of the University of Maryland School of Law Board of Visitors.
