Melissa A. McCall
Senior Associate
Melissa A. McCall focuses her practice on regulatory enforcement actions, internal investigations and complex securities litigation. She provides strategic counsel to clients in the technology, media, healthcare, pharmaceutical, and financial sectors before both federal and state regulators. She has also represented clients in shareholder class actions and consumer protection matters, including in matters related to large cyberattacks. Ms. McCall shares the firm’s commitment to pro bono service, and she helped to secure a California Court of Appeal ruling requiring family law judges who grant custody to a known abuser to provide an explanation for doing so. While in law school, she worked as a legal extern for Justice Mariano-Florentino Cuéllar of the Supreme Court of California, and she advised nonprofit clients on issues of law and policy as an advanced clinical student in the Samuelson Law, Technology & Public Policy Clinic.
Ms. McCall is a PhD candidate in Jurisprudence and Social Policy at the University of California, Berkeley, where she is also an affiliated researcher in the Culture, Diversity, and Intergroup Relations Lab.
