Mariia Shulha specializes in international trade law with a focus on trade remedies, dispute settlement and international agreements.

Ms. Shulha advises clients in trade defense investigations. Her practice covers a broad range of industry sectors, including agriculture, electronics, energy and pharmaceuticals. Ms. Shulha provides expertise on regulatory matters, including customs laws and procedures, import and export controls and navigates the nuances of EU and Ukrainian sanctions against Russia.

In the last 6 years, Ms. Shulha worked as an associate at a leading law firm in Kyiv, specializing in trade law. She represented clients in anti-dumping and safeguard investigations, advised on product safety and liability issues and contributed to amendments in the EU-UA Association Agreement.

Prior to this, Ms. Shulha worked for the Ukrainian government, representing the country in numerous WTO proceedings. This included addressing agreements like GATT 1994, Anti-Dumping Agreement, SPS Agreement, TBT Agreement before panels and the Appellate Body, as well as participating in an arbitration case under the EU-UA Association Agreement.
