Lukas Šimas

Lukas Šimas focuses on all aspects of EU antitrust and competition law, as well as other European regulatory matters.

Mr. Šimas represents clients before the European Commission in merger control reviews (clearance and investigations) and advises in cartel proceedings (adverse and settlement procedures). His practice covers several industry sectors including aviation, electronics (capacitors and medical devices), energy (oil and gas) and maritime.

Prior to joining WilmerHale, Mr. Šimas was a summer associate in a capital markets and derivatives department at an international law firm in London, and in a corporate and M&A department at a pan-Baltic legal boutique in Vilnius, Lithuania. He also worked as an in-house lawyer in the legal department of a medical devices distributor, where his work covered public procurement and antitrust issues.
