Julia May focuses her practice on complex litigation and appeals. Her experience also includes government investigations. She maintains a robust pro bono practice with particular emphasis on education issues and criminal appeals.

Prior to rejoining the firm, Ms. May clerked for the Honorable Steven M. Colloton of the US Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit and for the Honorable John D. Bates of the US District Court for the District of Columbia. She was previously a summer associate at WilmerHale in 2019.
