Joseph J. Yu

Joseph J. Yu is a litigator with broad experience representing clients on a range of commercial litigation matters. His litigation practice has involved contractual disputes, securities class actions, alleged breaches of fiduciary duties, consumer-protection laws and bankruptcy, among others. Mr. Yu also has extensive experience representing clients in investigations involving a range of issues, including consumer-protection laws and securities fraud, by government authorities, including the US Department of Justice and the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau. His clients include technology companies, pharmaceutical companies, financial institutions and committees of Board of Directors.

Prior to joining WilmerHale, Mr. Yu was a software engineer in the technology industry, where he designed and implemented company-wide, database-driven information systems for corporate clients. He also interned at a Washington DC law firm, where he researched and contributed to matters of patent law.
