
Joe D. Zabel
Associate
Joe Zabel focuses his practice on complex litigation and appellate matters. Prior to joining WilmerHale, Mr. Zabel was a law clerk to the Honorable Eric R. Komitee of the United States District Court for the Eastern District of New York. He has also accepted a clerkship with the Honorable Raymond J. Lohier of the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit.
During law school, Mr. Zabel externed for the California Attorney General’s Office and served as a law clerk in the United States Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of New York. He has published five law journal articles in criminal law, financial regulation, law and politics, animal law and surveillance law respectively. For his writing, Mr. Zabel received the Burton Award for Distinguished Legal Writing, awarded by the American Bar Association and Library of Congress.
