Ivan Wang focuses his practice on complex intellectual property matters, including patent litigation, strategy and global prosecution. Mr. Wang’s experience spans a broad range of technology fields, including semiconductor, software, retail technology, financial technology, telecommunications networks, mobile devices and consumer products. Mr. Wang represented clients before the district courts, the US ITC and the PTAB in patent litigations covering pre-suit investigations through trial. 

Leveraging industry know-hows gained while he worked in senior R&D roles in the field of semiconductor integrated circuit design, Mr. Wang helps global leaders in semiconductor business achieve their business and strategic goals by defending patent claims and asserting their own patent rights.  Mr. Wang has also managed all aspects of patent portfolios for clients ranging from startups to multinational corporations to research universities.

Prior to joining WilmerHale, Mr. Wang was an associate at another law firm in New York and Minnesota. He previously worked in engineering roles in the semiconductor chip design industry. His engineering experiences include those at an optical interconnect startup company, at a global networking strategy and technology company, and at another global semiconductor design and manufacturing company.
