Erik Halverson focuses his practice on post-grant proceedings and patent litigation. He has experience in inter partes review and appeal hearings before the Patent Trial and Appeal Board. Mr. Halverson also has extensive experience in federal district court litigations. His work in both litigation and post-grant practice has spanned a broad range of technology fields, including 3/4/5G communication protocols, video encoding and decoding, distributed computer memory, cloud computing, symmetric and asymmetric multiprocessing systems, and industrial materials. Mr. Halverson’s courtroom experience includes jury trials and hearings in district courts throughout the country as well as PTAB proceedings at the United States Patent and Trademark Office.

Prior to joining WilmerHale, Mr. Halverson was an intellectual property associate at another law firm in San Francisco. He was also a summer associate and law clerk at a patent law firm in Chicago.
