Emma Simson

Emma Simson’s practice focuses on complex appellate litigation. 

Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Simson clerked for the Honorable Ruth Bader Ginsburg of the US Supreme Court, the Honorable David S. Tatel of the US Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit and the Honorable James E. Boasberg of the US District Court for the District of Columbia. Additionally, Ms. Simson worked as an associate at an international law firm in Washington DC and as a legal fellow at the Campaign Legal Center.

While attending Yale Law School, Ms. Simson served as a writing instructor for first-year law students and as a student director in the Community and Economic Development clinic. She also interned for the Department of Justice’s Civil Appellate Staff and for the Department of Justice’s Civil Rights Division.      

Before pursuing her legal education, Ms. Simson obtained a master’s degree in evidence-based social interventions and taught high school social studies in Prince George’s County, Maryland.
