Dia Omasonte is a pro bono attorney and part of the team that guides WilmerHale’s pro bono program. She develops new pro bono opportunities and maintains close relationships with legal services organizations that refer matters to the firm, helping to identify projects that are responsive to the legal needs of underserved communities.

Before joining WilmerHale, Ms. Omasonte served as a pro bono attorney at another international law firm, where she managed West Coast pro bono programs. She also represented survivors of domestic violence in family law and immigration cases at Bay Area Legal Aid, the Bay Area’s largest civil legal aid provider. For six years, Ms. Omasonte litigated on behalf of clients in trials and hearings involving custody, visitation, restraining orders and other family law matters. She also obtained immigration relief through VAWA, U-visa and adjustment of status for dozens of clients and their children. After graduating with a concentration in criminal law from UC College of the Law, San Francisco, Ms. Omasonte worked as an assistant public defender in Pennsylvania.
