Chetan Chandra is an associate who represents clients on a variety of intellectual property matters, such as patent preparation and prosecution; landscape analyses; post-grant proceedings, including inter partes reviews; and patent litigation. Mr. Chandra has extensive knowledge in a wide range of technical fields including medical devices, software, business methods, telecommunications, semiconductors and mechanical arts. 

Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Chandra was an associate at another firm in Virginia, where he  collaborated with foreign associates to prosecute international and PCT applications, managed client patent portfolios, and guided small and large clients through the patent drafting and approval process. Mr. Chandra also was a patent examiner with the United States Patent and Trademark Office for more than five years.  

While in law school, Mr. Chandra was a writing fellow for the first-year writing program where he taught first-year law students the foundations of legal writing, developed fact patterns for the program and graded student assignments. Mr. Chandra was also the president of the Intellectual Property Law Society and lead counsel for George Mason in the IP litigation mock trial in 2018.
