Cassie Shapiro
Associate
Cassie Shapiro represents public and private companies on a range of corporate and intellectual property matters. Her practice covers technology-driven areas including biotechnology, life sciences tools and healthcare technology, and artificial intelligence and cybersecurity. She advises clients on licensing and partnership arrangements, as well as public offerings and capital markets transactions. Prior to joining WilmerHale, Ms. Shapiro was a legal intern on the Life Sciences and Intellectual Property team at a Japanese law firm.
Committed to public service, Ms. Shapiro maintains an active pro bono practice, advising on nonprofit corporate governance, compliance, sanctions, and licensing matters.
During law school, Ms. Shapiro assisted the International Human Rights Clinic and worked as an extern for The Global Healthcare Innovation Alliance Accelerator. Before pursuing her legal education, she worked as an associate with the general counsel at Human Rights Watch in New York. Ms. Shapiro also has experience working as a paralegal at a law firm in the Securities, Privacy, and Intellectual Property practice group.
