Brian J. Jacobsmeyer

Senior Associate

Brian Jacobsmeyer represents clients in complex commercial litigation with a focus on antitrust, securities, intellectual property, and business disputes in state and federal court. Mr. Jacobsmeyer has experience with all aspects of trial-level litigation: he has examined witnesses at trial, deposed fact and expert witnesses, drafted dispositive motions, argued evidentiary issues, and managed the written discovery process, among other tasks.

Mr. Jacobsmeyer joined WilmerHale in 2021 after serving as a law clerk to Judge Daniel Domenico of the US District Court for the District of Colorado. Prior to his clerkship, he worked for another global law firm in California on national and international commercial disputes.

Mr. Jacobsmeyer earned his JD from the University of Michigan Law School. During law school, he served as a contributing editor for the Michigan Technology Law Review and as a student attorney for the school’s entrepreneurship clinic, assisting student entrepreneurs with business formation and the protection of their intellectual property. Prior to law school, Mr. Jacobsmeyer worked as a science journalist in the Washington DC area.
