Brandon Roul
Associate
Brandon Roul provides strategic counsel to clients responding to government investigations and congressional oversight. His practice focuses on anti-discrimination matters, with an emphasis on Section 1981, Title VI, and Title VII compliance.
While in law school, Mr. Roul interned with three civil rights organizations and served as a corporate governance and racial equity project intern at his school’s center for racial justice. Prior to joining the firm full-time, Mr. Roul was an SEO Law Fellow. He is committed to pro bono service, with a practice concentrated on civil rights and immigration matters.
Experience

- Participated in securing a landmark federal court victory restoring voting rights to hundreds of thousands of citizens through a statewide class action challenge to post-conviction disenfranchisement.
- Assisted in preparing a senior official for a hearing before the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform.
- Represent universities in connection with federal investigations under Title VI.
- Conduct internal reviews for nonprofit and for-profit institutions to assess compliance with civil rights and anti-discrimination laws.
- Review grant proposals to 501(c)(3) and 501(c)(4) organizations to ensure compliance with applicable IRS tax-exemption requirements.
