Dr. Bastian Baumann advises national and international companies on general compliance matters, including business partner reviews and business partner compliance due diligences. Dr. Baumann also focuses on domestic and cross-border internal investigations.

Additionally, Dr. Baumann advises national and international companies on German and EU antitrust law and data protection/privacy law.

Dr. Baumann has been with WilmerHale since 2016. Before that, he was a research assistant at the Institute of Public Law at the University of Freiburg. While pursuing his legal education, Dr. Baumann worked for the German Federal Foreign Office among others.

Professional Activities

Dr. Baumann is a member of the German-American Lawyers’ Association (Deutsch-Amerikanische Juristenvereinigung), the German-British Lawyers’ Association (Deutsch-Britische Juristenvereinigung), the Association for the Study of Antitrust Law (Studienvereinigung Kartellrecht) and the Frankfurt Forum of Antitrust Lawyers (Frankfurter Kartellrechtsforum).
