Alexandra Maurer counsels clients on international trade laws and regulations, including anti-dumping and countervailing duty proceedings, trade policy, and international agreements. Ms. Maurer also has experience advising companies on matters related to custom regulations administered by U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP), sanctions administered by the U.S. Treasury’s Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC), and export controls administered by the U.S. Commerce Department’s Bureau of Industry and Security (BIS). She previously interned at the Office of the United States Trade Representative, where she analyzed complex legal issues regarding unfair trade practices, methodologies for calculating trade remedies, and the enforcement of foreign judgments.
Prior to attending law school, Ms. Maurer was a research assistant for Dr. Michael Boskin, the Tully M. Friedman Professor of Economics at Stanford University and Senior Fellow at the Hoover Institution. In this role, she conducted research and analysis on a wide range of economic policy issues.
