Attorney News
Professor Dr. Claus-Dieter Ehlermann of WilmerHale has received Global Competition Review’s (GCR) Lifetime Achievement Award, an honor presented to only 10 of the world's top antitrust lawyers each year. Ehlermann was selected by the editors of GCR for his distinguished public service at the European Commission and the Appellate Body of the World Trade Organization, as well as for his work on behalf of WilmerHale clients. Among this year’s honorees are a Commissioner of Directorate General for Competition, a chair of the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) and two former assistant attorneys general.

Ehlermann is a senior counsel in WilmerHale's Regulatory and Government Affairs Department, and a member of the Antitrust and Competition; European Regulatory; and International Trade, Investment and Market Access Practices.

WilmerHale also received GCR's Litigation of the Year Award for its work on behalf of Intel in the FTC case In the matter of Intel Corporation.

In addition, GCR named the firm's Antitrust and Competition Practice as one of its top 20 Global Elite, which features the top 20 antitrust practices in the world. “More than 1,500 antitrust counsel, economists and academics took the time to vote in the GCR Awards, meaning the winners are truly the best of the best,” said GCR Editor Emily Gray.
