WilmerHale Named Corporate Partner of the Year by Bread for the City

Attorney News
Recently, Bread for the City named WilmerHale its 2009 Corporate Partner of the Year, at their Fourth Annual Good Hope Awards celebration in Washington DC. WilmerHale earned this title for the firm’s significant financial and volunteer two-year commitment to Bread for the City in 2008.

WilmerHale’s partnership with Bread for the City provided pro bono legal representation, volunteer service and in-kind donations. Due to the firm’s financial contributions, Bread for the City was able to purchase a new delivery truck, which helped to provide 730 homes with a three-day supply of groceries. In addition, the firm contributed 211 hours of corporate legal service to the organization, supporting Bread for the City's operation and mission. Staff and attorneys at WilmerHale also participated in food and clothing drives and in Glean for the City, a new farm initiative where volunteers pick fresh produce for Bread for the City 's food pantry.

Bread for the City provides vulnerable residents of Washington DC, with comprehensive services, including food, clothing, medical care, and legal and social services, in an atmosphere of dignity and respect. To learn more about this organization, please click here.
