WilmerHale Leads Contributions in Legal Aid Society’s Generous Associates Campaign

As part of an annual effort to raise money for the Legal Aid Society’s Generous Associates Campaign, WilmerHale raised $57,625, contributing to the citywide total of $416,453.

Partner Seth Waxman led the efforts of the campaign, serving as honorary chair. Under his direction, the campaign raised $51,453 more than its set goal for 2004.

Legal Aid Society serves clients who live below the federal poverty line. Last year, with a $1.4 million operating budget, the Legal Aid Society’s 17 attorneys received thousands of calls for assistance, provided brief assistance and advice to more than 1,000 individuals, and fully represented nearly 500 individuals and families free of charge.
