Two WilmerHale Partners Recognized as “Top Female Corporate Directors” by BusinessWeek

Ambassador Charlene Barshefsky and Jamie Gorelick, both partners at WilmerHale, have been included in BusinessWeek’s list of “Top Female Corporate Directors.” BusinessWeek highlighted 23 women on the list noting “the depth and breadth of the private- and public-sector boards that they serve on.”

As Senior International Partner, Ambassador Barshefsky advises multinational corporations, and private equity and venture capital firms on their market access, investment, acquisition and government relations strategies across the globe, including the negotiation of commercial agreements and arrangements with foreign governments, and the removal of regulatory barriers. Ambassador Barshefsky sits on the Boards of Directors of the American Express Company, the Estée Lauder Companies Inc., Intel Corporation, Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide, Inc., and the Council on Foreign Relations. She is also a Trustee of the Howard Hughes Medical Institute.

Ms. Gorelick is partner in the firm’s Regulatory and Government Affairs and Litigation/Controversy Departments and she co-chairs the Defense, National Security and Government Contracts Practice Group and chairs the Public Policy and Strategy Practice Group. Ms. Gorelick sits on the board at United Technologies, Schlumberger Ltd., the John D. and Catherine T. MacArthur Foundation, the Urban Institute, the Washington Legal Clinic for the Homeless and the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace, and she is also a member of the Council on Foreign Relations.
