Lara Phimister, Associate in the firm’s Corporate Group, was honored with the Candle in the Darkness Award at the Domestic Violence Resource Center of South County’s Annual Meeting. She received this award as this year’s local business or professional individual who has gone out of their way to support the agency.

Ms. Phimister is recognized for her tireless efforts to see that her pro bono client was granted asylum in the United States.

Ms. Phimister’s pro bono practice is an important part of her work at WilmerHale. It has included representation of clients in immigration matters, as well as non-profit organizations in formation and governance matters.
