GBLS Recognizes WilmerHale with 2011 Associates Drive Award

Greater Boston Legal Services (GBLS) presented WilmerHale with its 2011 Associates Drive Award for the firm’s support of the organization’s legal representation of domestic violence survivors. Between the donations of associates and the firm’s matching contributions, WilmerHale raised nearly $19,000 this year for GBLS and its programs.

As co-chair of WilmerHale’s efforts (with Associate Kraig Peterson), Associate Ali Amrhein accepted the award on behalf of the firm at the GBLS Associates Drive awards ceremony on June 29. The drive raised more than $317,000 in total, $30,000 more than the previous year. These donations make access to justice possible for low-income domestic violence survivors in Boston through GBLS’s Family Law Unit, which provides legal protection to help families rebuild their lives in safety.
