A recent Order by the DC Court of Appeals has allowed the DC Access to Justice Commission to continue its work for equal access to justice for low and moderate income DC residents. The Court of Appeals established the Commission in 2005 for an initial three-year term to work on improving access to the civil justice system for low and moderate income residents and others who face barriers to access. The new Order continues the Commission without a fixed termination date.
